Steris plans to add 240 jobs to Mentor headquarters
4/29/2010
Steris Corp. is planning to move 240 positions to its Mentor headquarters from its offices in Erie, Pa., as part of a broader expansion of its headquarters.
The move is part of the sterilization products company's ongoing effort to increase efficiencies across its global operations, said Stephen Norton, director of corporate communications. The employees, most of whom are being offered positions in Mentor, worked in departments such as finance, customer service and product design and development.
“It will really increase productivity, communication and coordination,” Mr. Norton said.
Steris is not yet ready to release added details about its planned headquarters expansion, Mr. Norton said. However, he did say the company plans to start moving positions to Mentor this fall and aims to complete the process by December 2011.
