10/16/2008
Team Northeast Ohio (Team NEO) today announced that a team representing Cleveland Plus – Cleveland Port Authority, French-American Chamber of Commerce-Northern Ohio Chapter, Greater Cleveland Partnership, State of Ohio and Team NEO – will explore new investment opportunities from French companies. The partners will meet with more than 35 companies interested in creating a partnership in the United States while also participating in the SEINO Show, a business-to-business industrial show in Rouen, France, October 20-25, 2008, as part of the City of Cleveland sister city relationship with Rouen.
“The trip will allow the Cleveland Plus region to cultivate new investment opportunities for Northeast Ohio,” said Jay Foran, Sr. Vice President for Team NEO. “We look forward to teaming with our partners to promote the many strengths of the Cleveland Plus region.”
The annual trade show attracts more than 8,000 people and 300 exhibitors from various industries/services in the Normandy region of France. “The SEINO will recognize the Cleveland Plus region as a Guest of Honor,” said Yannick Le Couédic, Executive Director of the French-American Chamber of Commerce-Northern Ohio Chapter. “This will provide enhanced visibility through an advertising campaign to the French press, companies, and institutional bodies.”
Upon meeting with executives at the SEINO Show, and in company meetings, Team NEO and its partners will continue proactive attraction efforts to secure future investment.
Team Northeast Ohio unites the region to accelerate economic growth by serving as the central point for business attraction. The organization is a non-profit joint venture of the region’s largest metro chambers, privately funded to market to the 16 county-area and assist companies in expanding to Northeast Ohio. In 2007, Team NEO attracted 95 new qualified investment leads, closed $46 million in new annual payroll and created a nearly $100 million regional economic impact.
